Christmas Cards and Monsters

A few weeks ago we weren’t sure if we would be producing a new Lit & Phil Christmas card or not….then a member of staff had the brilliant idea of asking the artists from Viz to design one for us. Well, we asked and they said yes, so before long you’ll have the chance to buy dozens of them! We’re old friends of Viz, of course. Remember  the exhibition a couple of years ago…?

The 2013 diary is beginning to look rather busy. For example, we’re putting on a series of lunchtime jazz concerts (details to be announced soon), our two Latin classes will continue, and we’re going to be offering  Russian if there’s enough interest (see forthcoming newsletter for details). We’ll be working again with Tyne Bridge Publishing on several local history talks, collaborating with Northumbria University on a series in April, as well as the local branch of the Classical Association.

Tonight, Gail-Nina Anderson is finishing her Gothic Science series and people are already asking for more….what about Dracula and The Mummy and let’s not forget The Wolfman?  Why not, indeed….
